Andrew Chang

"Things are rarely as bad as they seem or as good as they seem. Success in investing requires both conviction and humility. Having the right balance of the two can help weather all market environments."

Andrew Chang focuses on Consumer, FinTech, and Healthcare investments at Premji.  He is passionate about discovering underappreciated companies with strong competitive advantages across all stages of their growth.

Prior to joining PI, Andrew was an investor at Osterweis Capital Management, a long-only mutual fund, and at Mill Road Capital, a crossover public/private equity fund. At Mill Road, he served as a board member for Mother’s Markets and Kitchen, an organic grocery chain in Southern California. Before business school, Andrew covered media/telecom investments at Darlington Partners, a concentrated, long-biased hedge fund. He started his career at Goldman Sachs Investment Partners. Andrew serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of Project Open Hand, a non-profit providing nutritious meals to the critically ill and elderly in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He received his B.S. (Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi) from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Andrew was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.  In his free time, he enjoys watching baseball (Go Cardinals!), playing tennis, and exploring San Francisco’s parks and restaurants with his wife and son.
