Angelina DiPaolo

"Consumer is a great representation of the objective and subjective, data-driven and creative, quantifiable and ineffable. I am fascinated by the intersection of the two to produce something great."

Angelina leads the firm's investment efforts in Consumer and B2B2C. She works closely alongside PI’s partnerships as both a strategic thought partner and on-the-ground support in the build process, helping to drive value in their scaling journeys. At PI, she has led and supported investments in Carta, Robinhood (IPO), Heyday, Outreach, Sysdig, Signifyd, and Cohesity.

Angelina has a particularly deep focus within Frictionless Commerce, spanning Marketing and Merchandising Tech, Storefront, Checkout, and Post-Purchase solutions. During her experience at PI, she joined Heyday (e-commerce accelerator platform & digitally-native CPG brand) full-time. There, she built the infrastructure to Heyday's Digital Merchandising program via data-driven SEO-Main Image Optimization. Alongside the Amazon Growth team, she also helped build Heyday's Digital Shelf Insights Engine (DSIE) via an ML-based Dynamic Promotions model and rules-based Dynamic Pricing algorithm. She helped take Heyday international and B2B by laying the foundation of geo-specific and industry-specific pricing and promotions.

Prior to joining PI, Angelina was in Global Technology Investment Banking at Citigroup in San Francisco, where she focused on consumer internet. Prior to that, she was in Equity Capital Markets at Citigroup in New York City. Angelina started her career at Work_Bench, an enterprise software focused VC fund in NYC. Angelina is a Board Member of Synergist, a National Women in Investing Network, and was a Board Member of Citigroup’s Social and Environmental Impact Committee while at Citi.

Angelina was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and lived on the East Coast until she moved to California in 2019. She loves to explore the West Coast through skiing, running, hiking, cycling, golfing, and cooking with California-grown produce. She is a lifelong tennis player and huge Italophile. Unsurprisingly, her favorite drink is an Aperol Spritz. She received her B.A. from Dartmouth College in Engineering and Mandarin Chinese.
