Jake co-leads Premji Invest's early-stage practice, focusing on AI, enterprise software, and deep tech.
Prior to Premji, Jake was an early-stage investor at Canaan, where he worked across enterprise software, cybersecurity, and deep tech. He supported seed through series B investments including AIM Security, Cynomi, Novee, Enterpret, Attitude, and Safire, among others.
Jake began his career as a product manager at Uber, where he went through the APM program and led bid-ask - an initiative adapting Uber's core mobility marketplace for emerging markets,
He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College where he double majored in Engineering Sciences (modified with Economics) and Computer Science. Having grown up on a farm in rural New Jersey, Jake is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, sailing, and traveling. He is generally willing to try anything once, and sometimes it sticks - most notably marble sculpting.
