Akshay Kini joined Premji Invest in 2022, and leads the firm’s efforts in enterprise technology investing, with a focus on application software, data infrastructure, and AI. Other areas of particular focus include B2B payments and vertical software & payments. Akshay believes opportunities lie at the intersection of disciplines. For him, that involves merging a deep focus on product with a sector-agnostic approach. Akshay works closely with growth-stage companies like Outreach, Signifyd, Datastax, Sysdig, Cohesity, and Icertis.

Prior to Premji Invest, Akshay was with General Atlantic, where he invested and worked closely with growth-stage opportunities in consumer internet and enterprise software such as Riskified, Snapchat, and SAIC.

Originally from New York, Akshay holds a B.S. with distinction (Tau Beta Pi) in Operations Research from Columbia University and an M.B.A. with honors from Wharton. In his free time, Akshay enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and playing all racquet sports, especially tennis.
