Marc focuses on growth-stage life sciences and healthcare investments at Premji Invest.
Prior to Premji, Marc built and led the early-stage practice at Illumina Ventures, where he invested in 10 early-stage biotech startups centered on genomics-driven applications across therapeutics, diagnostics, and tools. Previously, Marc ran Illumina Accelerator, where he helped build over 30 companies leveraging Illumina technology to advance precision medicine globally.
Marc previously led Biotech Connection – Bay Area, a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating innovation between academic scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors. He was also on the investment team at Lam Research Capital, focusing on life science opportunities.
Marc earned his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where his research focused on developing novel tools for characterizing and modeling complex biological and biochemical systems. He also holds a Masters in Biochemical Engineering from University College London and a Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.
Marc lives in San Francisco where he enjoys crossfit, running, skiing, wine tasting, and exploring new restaurants.
