Jeff Capone

Jeff Capone is an award-winning technology executive and entrepreneur with more than two decades of leadership experience in cybersecurity, Zero Trust data protection, cloud/SaaS platforms, and storage/networking. He most recently served as Vice President of Data Protection at CrowdStrike, where he led the company’s strategy to extend Zero Trust security to the data layer within its flagship Falcon platform.

Previously, Jeff was the Co-Founder and CEO of SecureCircle, a pioneer in transparent Data Access Governance and Zero-Trust Data Loss Prevention (DLP). He scaled the business, built enterprise partnerships, and led the company through its successful acquisition by CrowdStrike. Earlier, he served as Chief Technology Officer of NETGEAR, overseeing global engineering teams of 200+ employees, driving innovation in storage and cloud platforms, and delivering more than $100M in revenue growth.

Jeff also founded Leaf Networks, a Network-as-a-Service company acquired by NETGEAR, and Aligo, a mobile enterprise platform acquired by Corrigo. He began his career in academia as a tenure-track professor of Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University, where he was awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award and published 30+ IEEE/ACM papers.

Jeff holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering & Telecommunications from Northeastern University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont. He is an inventor on multiple U.S. patents in cybersecurity and networking and has been recognized by PC Magazine and Storage Magazine for product innovation.
