
Nicolas Zylberstein is a global AI & technology executive with over 20 years of experience leading global strategy, operations, M&A, partnerships & transformative initiatives at the intersection of technology, innovation & business growth. With expertise in AI, digital platforms & eCommerce, he has driven innovation & scale at leading tech companies including ByteDance, Pinterest, YouTube & Disney.
Nicolas is currently leading ByteDance’s International Strategy, Operations, M&A and AI partnerships & go-to-market across ByteDance's businesses including TikTok, AI, eCommerce, creative tools, Gaming, VR & SaaS. He is currently leading ByteDance's AI & Generative AI strategy, partnerships & investments.
Previously, Nicolas served as the Global Head of Corporate Development & Strategy at Pinterest. During his tenure, he drove Pinterest's user growth, content creation, shopping & advertising efforts, more than doubling the company's monthly active users in three years. He also played a pivotal role in defining Pinterest's long-term strategy & its IPO process.
Prior to Pinterest, as a Senior Principal in Strategy, Operations & Corporate Development at YouTube, Nicolas played a central role in launching & scaling YouTube's subscription businesses including YouTube Premium & YouTube TV, and driving strategic acquisitions & partnerships.
Earlier in his career, Nicolas was the General Manager & Head of EMEA Digital Distribution at The Walt Disney Company, where he played a pivotal role in the company's transition to streaming with the launch of Disney+. He also spent time at JPMorgan, where he focused on M&A, and McKinsey, where he provided strategic consulting to top-tier clients in the TMT & consumer sectors.
Nicolas serves on the board of Art Explora, a European foundation dedicated to democratizing access to the arts & culture. Nicolas also advises Blackstone Growth, a $10B fund within Blackstone, on AI investments. Nicolas is a member of the World Economic Forum’s TMT Chief Strategy Officers Community & a French Tech Ambassador, advising startups in the US and Europe.
Nicolas received his MBA from The Wharton School as a Palmer Scholar (top 5% of the class), and holds master's degrees in Finance, Business Law & Economics from Sciences Po Paris, University of Paris I & Paris IX with honors. He is a French national and speaks English, French & Spanish. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife & two kids.
