Saira Ramasastry, managing partner of Life Sciences Advisory, is a seasoned life sciences industry insider with over 25 years experience successfully building companies as an advisor, board member and operational executive. Prior to LSA, Saira helped found and establish the leading life sciences franchise on Wall Street at Merrill Lynch where she was responsible for emerging biotech coverage.
Ms. Ramasastry currently serves on the industry advisory board of the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, as head of business and sustainability for Innovative Health Initiative collaborations, and formerly as a special advisor for the G8 health initiatives. She also serves on the board of directors of several public and private companies.
Ms. Ramasastry holds a B.A. in Economics with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and has advanced degrees in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and Management Studies from the University of Cambridge, where she is also an adjunct lecturer for the Cambridge Bioscience Enterprise Program. Saira is a Health Innovator Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
